First and foremost,
the reformation / conversion of rust by the judicious use of
Rustgard (primer) spells ultimate cost reduction
and increased savings as :-
(a) Greater durability
and longer life protects expensive equipment from rusting, thereby
avoiding replacement & maintenance costs.
(b) Prevents repetitive repainting resulting in
constant & regular need of additional cost on paint & labour.
(c) Life of topcoats prolonged as under surface
rusting arrested.
(d) Topcoats retain desired quality for longer
periods, as under surface rusting is arrested.
(e) As the viscosity is low (lower than paints
/ epoxies) the coverage is tripple making it economical. Additionally,
repeated coats are not required as durability is far greater making
the use of this product extremely cost effective in the long run.
(f) Does not reduce the strength of Steel, in fact
it enhances it by preventing formation of Rust.
(g) If applied as per instructions, it will protect
surfaces upto 4-10 times more than conventional rust convertors.
depending on number of coatings, surface conditions and the environment.
( i ) In case of RG being top coated
by a compatible enamel / epoxy, the system is rust free for upto
4-5 times that of a conventional rust convertor.
( ii ) In case of RG being over
coated by red oxide / another primer and then top coated by an enamel
/ epoxy / aluminum top coat, the system is rust free for at least
6-7 times more than that of a conventional rust convertor.
( iii ) And in case of RG being
part of a multi coat system ie; 4 coats or more, the life span is
between 8 to 10 times more than of a conventional rust convertor.
(h) Is cost effective
as no solvent based thinner is required in case of thickening during
prolonged storage – just addition of ordinary water, not exceeding
the evaporated amount so as to make the primer free flowing as before.
