Description
of Rustgard:
Rustgard comes as a single coat or two coat application,
depending on the requirements and the areas of application :
-
Rustgard (RG-010): This is the 1st coat application
product. This is a primer coat applied directly to the rusted
surface and it reacts chemically with the rust and changes it
to a non-corrosive matrix. Additionally, on drying, it forms
a tenacious polymer coating, sealing the surface from the elements.
On coating rusted mild steel surface with RG-010, the colour
changes from initial white colour to a blue-black colour within
20 to 25 minutes and after 60mins, it turns completely black
or brown in colour depending on the nature of the rust.

On proper application
and observance of curing time instructions,
Rustgard 010 Metal Protective Treatment Process
will give a minimum of five / six year protection, if not more,
when part of a paint system. |
